Warhammer Digital products are available in a number digital formats, across a number of settings. This page gives you a brief overview so you know what to expect from our eBooks and which ones are right for you.
We sell Codexes, Battletomes, rules and painting guides in a variety of digital formats. Here's a guide to some of the terms you might see on product pages
Fixed Layout ePub (also known as ePub 3)
These eBooks are designed to match the look and feel of physical books as closely as possible They are full colour, and laid out to match the pages of a physical volume. Some of these eBooks come in two formats, one optimised for tablet devices and one for mobile phones. They are the closest you'll get to having the physical book in your hands – but with convenience of using your phone and tablet! Please note that ePub3 files are not compatible with any Kindle devices.
Reflowable ePub
These act more like traditional eBooks, with the text adjustable to suit your reading preferences. This makes them comfortable to read on any device, for the best experience – they're perfect for anyone who wants to focus on background and rules instead of art and photographs.
Enhanced Editions
These eBooks are designed specifically for use with iPads, iPhones and Mac computers and do not work with any other devices. They often have additional interactive features, which will be detailed in the product description. Enhanced Editions are exclusively available from iBooks
MP3s
Audio MP3s are downloadable versions audio content in MP3 format, which can be used by a wide range of devices and software.
Wallpapers
These are digital images designed to adorn the home screen of your mobile devices and the desktop of your computer.
Subscriptions
These allow you to pre-purchase a selection of eBooks. The subscription is provided as a zip file, which is updated whenever a new instalment is released.
Zip File Bundles
Zip files are often used for larger downloads, such as eBook bundles, as well as subscriptions. These need to be unpacked on a PC or Mac using suitable software and the files within (which will be ePub or ePub3 files) transferred onto your device of choice.
